This is really interesting … Apparently folks that are starving for supersized storage in their digital cameras and PDAs are ripping Rio Carbon MP3 players apart ($249.95 at MobilePlanet; $212.00 at others) to get at its 5GB microdrive, manufactured by Seagate.

A forum member of TreoCentral apparently spoke with staff of Singapore phone carrier M1, and was told that the rumored palmOne Treo 650 will be out for sale by the carrier “in two weeks” - the post is dated today, 6 September 2004. No prices mentioned as yet.
