This is really interesting … Apparently folks that are starving for supersized storage in their digital cameras and PDAs are ripping Rio Carbon MP3 players apart ($249.95 at MobilePlanet; $212.00 at others) to get at its 5GB microdrive, manufactured by Seagate.

We find in eCost the iPAQ h6315 going for shopping cart special of $545.00. As a point of reference, the best deal to be had via DealCatcher’s listings is $519.12 over at The Nerds.net. No cellular plans needed for either retailer’s sale of this PDAphone.

Call us outdated, but we literally whooped with joy when our favorite streaming audio site, Accuradio finally streams its excellent tracks via Pocket Tunes to any PalmOS-based (version 5.2 and higher) PDA which also includes the Treo 600!

A forum member of TreoCentral apparently spoke with staff of Singapore phone carrier M1, and was told that the rumored palmOne Treo 650 will be out for sale by the carrier “in two weeks” - the post is dated today, 6 September 2004. No prices mentioned as yet.
