palmOne takes wraps off new models

palmOne officially launches and sells the new Zire 72 and Zire 31 today.
The Zire 72 is palmOne’s first handheld that uses Intel’s latest PXA270 processor line (formerly codenamed Bulverde); this one runs at 312MHz. It is also the first in the mid-range Zire series to incorporate Bluetooth connectivity. The built-in digital camera is now a 1.2 megapixel unit and records video natively.
The Zire 31 is the successor to the Zire 21 and now comes with a faster Intel 200MHz processor, a color screen (160×160 pixel resolution), and a welcome SD slot.
