Scam on Motorola MPx100 smartphone on eBay
I sure hope folks don’t fall for this one.
Yeah, right.
In the latest twist to an old scam, folks are asked to pay up $20 for a cheap cellphone antenna booster, which will get them on a list of others who do the same. Once the list propagates to 35, these guys will ship a Motorola MPx100 smartphone to you. Then, it starts all over again: The next 35 folks will need to sign up before the second guy on the list gets his MPx100.
This is an outright matrix scam, using what is arguably one of the most desirable smartphone yet to be released.
Don’t fall for this one, people. eBay ought to be doing something about this post in their auction site, and we are not about to encourage these scammers that call themselves Techtrix (heck, even their name says what they are up to) by posting any links to their cheats.
Actually, the guy who posted the eBay piece is just another one of the many that had fell for this scam (in the matrix, so to speak) and he’s just trying to get more people to cough up their $20 so that he can finally get his MPx100.
Poor kid.
