Invasion of the Robosapiens!
We are sure some of you would have at least read, if not seen this lil guy somewhere before. Robosapien, a product of little-known Hong Kong toy manufacturer WowWee and the brainchild of former NASA scientist Mark Tilden is apparently taking the world by storm.
What’s an affordable robot which stands at slightly over 1′ tall got to do with PDAs and mobile technology? Well, for one - the thing itself is mobile … Secondly, we read from the the Hong Kong Weekly Standard article scan in Robosapien’s site (yeah, the lil fella’s got a site of its own) that says WowWee plans to introduce software that can control Robosapien via a PDA later in ‘04.
Now wouldn’t this be the absolute cool thing to have during PDA “beamfests” and gatherings? It could very possibly be the new-age puppy to woo girls and make them coo … even if they are not gadget-ly inclined. To play with all things gadget while keeping the partner happy - a gadget-freak’s nirvana?
