A MP3 add-on twist to portable storage

It might seem strange to have us going on so much about PDA’s and handhelds … then have a totally different mobile gadget getting on here. But we couldn’t pass it up, because it essentially is mobile-tech - and this thing’s a nice twist to the current crop of removable-storage MP3 players.

SanDisk’s Cruzer Micro MP3 Companion Digital Music Player, $48.00 is an add-on component to its range of Cruzer Micro High-Speed USB 2.0 flash drives, which are available in 128MB, 256MB, and 512MB capacities.

This whole “system” is a refreshing change to all the flash card and hard disk-based MP3 players of today. A very flexible medium, USB-based flash memory can be used in virtually all current desktops and laptops without additional hardware; making them “cross-usage friendly” one computer to another. They are also less prone to mishandling and misplacement due to their size - which is pocketable yet noticeable. A great combination for data portability and entertainment!
