A new breed of Pocket PC Phones?

Thanks to Pocket PC Italia, we have a glimpse of what HTC is up to these days … a new Pocket PC Phone Edition design codenamed Magician.

With a simple and sleek design reminiscent of the XDA II, it is nonetheless significantly smaller overall size-wise and features a 2.9″ transreflective QVGA (320×240-pixel) screen - making it a tad easier (and less clunky) to actually hold it up to one’s face for normal mobile phone usage. Looks like it’s built to contend with PalmOS-based Smartphones such as the Treo 600.

Check out the pics and its expected specifications here in original Italian and the translated English version by Google.

Thanks to Pocket PC Thoughts for the tip.
