Creative comes up with a stunner
The Creative Zen Micro 5GB MP3 player bagged an award in a digital products tradeshow, and had the major media gushing over it … probably due to the huge choice of colors available:
Okay maybe a few other niceties Apple’s iPod mini (and the player to trump) does not have: Built-in FM tuner, Outlook synchronization for calendar/to-do/contacts database, mike for voice recording, removable Lithium-Ion battery (yeah!) and a laundry list of included accessories. The accessory bundle varies depending where you get it though … Asia Pacific countries will get the works in a limited edition package.
Did we mention that it’s also smaller and lighter than the iPod mini? Not forgetting it being 1GB up … Judging by the PIM (personal information management) features they are building into MP3 players these days, it makes a perfect PDA replacement if all you do is look up but not enter data in your gadget.
The Zen Micro is now on pre-order at Creative’s online store for $249.99. Ironically, we are not able to find it in Creative’s own backyard - the Singapore online store.
