Is Dell an authorized palmOne reseller?
We sincerely believe it to be. After all, Dell sells only palmOne handhelds when it comes to Palm OS powered machines. And it sells them high at the manufacturer’s suggested retail pricing. These details do NOT mean this is how palmOne chooses its resellers, though.
If this is the case, we are in for a real treat on the palmOne Zire 72 sold on Dell’s Home & Electronics site: $299.00 (with free shipping), minus a $25 coupon off purchases $225 or more, PLUS palmOne’s $50 mail-in rebate (MIR) would mean you can ultimately get the Zire 72 for only … $224.00!
You will have to use the coupon code 2XJ93FTTP2LJ96 which is only valid for 1,500 uses upon checkout at Dell. This is for that $25 off $225.
The best we got off Pricegrabber at the time of this writing was $244.95, but that was without a rebate. We don’t think that retailer has the “reseller status” to make the rebate good, either.
Well … you could try it - in this case, pricing the Zire 72 at an unbelievable $194.95 - but don’t say we didn’t warn ya.
