512MB SD price drop

Wednesday, March 30th, 2005

Viking InterWorks is really gung-ho on rebates. With a latest $21 MIR for its 512MB SD card, it is now available for only $18.99 at Buy.com compared to $27.99 three weeks ago. The rebate expires tomorrow 3/31/05.
Great stuff Viking; just make sure the rebates are honored accordingly. (Yes we hate mail-in rebates.)

Ever since news broke that i-mate is setting up shop in US, we had been real curious if this will lead to better pricing of these two hot models. So Da Boss made some pricing enquiries with one of the appointed distributors for i-mate’s products, Portable Add-ons USA of Fountain Valley, CA and came up [...]

The i-mate JAM with WiFi?

Saturday, March 26th, 2005

We are not exactly sure what the guy from Microsoft was talking about, but in a video interview at the recent CTIA Wireless show with CNET’s William O’Neal, he mentioned that the i-mate JAM then held by Mr. O’Neal comes with WiFi … but no demo on that. Listen carefully to what the Microsoft rep [...]

We hope you like it
And our sincere apologies for not updating PDA-1 during the entire week … this was what we were up to. We won’t be selling you guys on the tremendous benefits this change will bring, chiefly because most of it are behind-the-scenes improvements.

We marvel and admire companies such as Sony when it comes to incredible product launches.
Kaz Hirai, president of Sony Computer Entertainment America, said the company pulled all the strings it could to make sure there were 1 million PSPs ready for the North American launch … A big launch is important to Sony, Hirai said, [...]

External drive enclosure 2-for-1 deal

Thursday, March 24th, 2005

TigerDirect returns with a very good deal for its Ultra 2.5″ Aluminum USB2.0 External Hard Drive Enclosure; selling you two of these babies for only $24.99. That breaks down to approximately $12.50 apiece, which trumps their previous offer of $19.99 each.

The reason why we are so stoked with these units is the fact that [...]

MDA IV launch - pushed back for improvement?

Sunday, March 20th, 2005

Brighthand reports that T-Mobile Germany has pushed back their launch of the MDA IV until Fall ‘05. This is not entirely surprising to us, given the fact that another mobile system, HSDPA is set to be the leader (well at least in countries with GSM) in high-speed mobile data access.
The MDA IV, manufactured by HTC [...]

Windows Mobile powered Treo (Treo 670?)

Thursday, March 17th, 2005

Ok. We get it, it’s freaking everywhere online. Pics of a rumored Treo 670 running some version of Windows Mobile OS. Here’s one from this post in TreoCentral:

So what? We say, bring it on! palmOne has already stated that they are not averse to using other operating systems for their future Treo models. Anything to [...]

The BenQ P50, next-generation JAM feature

P50 is certainly gonna make alot of JAM users think about upgrading?? It looks good and it should be great performer with the processor and hardware. ROM is still being tweaked though, unofficially, WiFi and Bluetooth were said to still being worked on.
