The Zodiac makeover
Thanks to engadget, we read of an article in PC Magazine about the future of the Tapwave Zodiac straight from the horse’s mouth, and how it’s morphing towards being more of an entertainment device and less of a gamer’s PDA.

Gaming is still very big among PDA enthusiasts, but we also believe that multimedia is the next logical “upgrade” for the serious graphics and sound processing capabilities already found on the current Zodiacs. It wouldn’t take much more hardware; just some tweaking on the software front - and that could well propel the Zodiacs to a whole new level in the “entertainment PDA” realm, very much like what HP attempts on its current range of models they labelled as Mobile Media Companions.
What we really like to see in the future of all PDAs is an in-built mini hard drive that’s so popular in MP3 players these days - a feature that Tapwave intends for its future models 2006 and beyond. Read the full PC Mag article here.
