Maxis BlackBerry open to consumers now
Malaysian wireless carrier Maxis has opened up its BlackBerry Internet Solution to the general consumer now with a monthly service fee of RM55 and a choice of data plans including one for unlimited data usage at RM120 a month.
These monthlys are separate from a voice plan, and you could have the BlackBerry 7290 working data-only. If you wanna yak over it, you still need a voice plan. As far as we can tell the BlackBerry Internet Solution is only available to Maxis’ postpaid subscribers, leaving its prepaid Hotlink users out of the loop for some crack-berryin’.
The BlackBerry 7290 is available for RM2,400 at selected Maxis outlets in which a full list of ‘em are now available - thank goodness.
