Here’s one for those of you with a miniSD slot in your cellphones and smartphones: eCost.com offers the SanDisk 512MB miniSD Card complete + SD adapter for only $55.95. Lowest on the Web is $49.91 but that’s without the SD adapter.

Normally not fond of writing about stuff that’s not here yet, we got uh … engaged after clicking thru from engadget’s article on Plantronic’s new Bluetooth headsets, codenamed “Tonga” and “Tahiti”.

Heads up; Viking is on a roll and offers a $15 MIR to selected retailers; among them is Buy.com whose final price for the 512MB SD card is a low $27.99 after the rebate. ‘Net lowest at time of this posting is $29.99 from TigerDirect.com with the same rebate applied.

Not a fan of MIRs (mail-in rebates) but they are commonplace, and with a $13 MIR at eCost.com you can get the Viking 256MB SD card for only $4.00 - is that crazy or what? Limited to 1 per customer, though.- from sister site Digicam-1

PocketGear.com has a great tip for an interesting Bluetooth snafu: Apparently the Bluetooth stack on PDA phones running Windows Mobile Phone Edition can only accept numeric passkeys needed to pair with other Bluetooth devices.
